There are many pages on the website but no ranking? Maybe it’s just that Google didn’t find it

We have always wanted to discuss whether Google’s preferred website type is "fewer pages but more content on average" or "more pages but less copy".

So we implemented the content of this experiment-by adding website pages (but in fact, there are not many text content on each page), and at the same time through the internal link setting, Google thinks this website is rich in content and complete in structure!

Although the website of this experiment has quite a lot of product content , it is a pity that each product page does not have internal links on the product category page, so search engines cannot find many pages.

So this time the engineer focused on this part of the operation, adding the words under each product with the link of the product inside page to the corresponding product inside page .

After completing the internal chain settings, observe the data changes after one month as follows-

  • Index number changed from 231 to 604
  • The number of internal links changed from 4465 to 12692
  • Site product pages changed from 15 to 387

The results of the experiment found that by building an internal link, Google can include pages that were not previously included in the database, and this has increased the number of pages for our website, thereby helping to improve the ranking of the website.

If your website has many pages but the ranking is not ideal, you might as well try this method!
