You have reached an intersection controlled by a STOP sign. Where must you stop?

When you arrive at an intersection controlled by a STOP sign, you must stop before the stop line. If there is no stop line, you must stop before entering the marked or unmarked crosswalk. If there is no crosswalk either, you must stop before entering the intersection. Yield to pedestrians and approaching vehicles. Then you may proceed cautiously through the intersection once it is safe to do so. [Regulatory Signs; Chapter 5: Signs, Signals and Road Markings; Alabama Driver Manual]
